A safe place
Vincent reached out to local rescue organizations on Facebook, and in the meantime he looked after the little family.
Although his chihuahua was a bit confused about the unexpected visitors, he too seemed to sense their need. He accepted them warmly, sniffing the little babies gently and enjoying their company.
All huddled in the box that Vincent had set up for them, the mama cat and her litter stayed warm and cozy, safe from the elements and any dangers of the outdoors.
"[She] was completely unafraid — somehow she knew it was a safe place to bring her kittens," said Jacqueline Santiago, of the Friends For Life Rescue Network.
