Kitty Puzzles
A great idea to recycle toilet paper rolls is to turn them into a simple puzzle for your cat. This makes them put in a bit of effort to find their food, which exercises their intelligence and stimulates their mind.
You will need:
- 1 small rectangular box (a tissue box, for example)
- 14 toilet paper rolls (or however many fit in the box)
- Hot glue gun
- 1 piece of thin string
- Cat treats
How to make it:
- Make a few holes in the bottom of the box so you can slip the string through. The string will be used to tie the box to a piece of furniture (a table leg, for example) and allow the cat to explore the toy without it falling over.
- Arrange all the toilet paper tubes standing upright in the box, hot gluing them to each other and to the box to prevent them from falling out.
- Now set the box upright on its side, so that the tubes are in a horizontal position.
- Put a few treats in each tube, so your cat has to get them out!
